VeteransAt Piper Electric, we highly value the experience, skills, and work ethic of veterans, which is why we are looking to hire veterans with or without direct electrical experience. We are a 30 year old company located in Arvada, CO,  built on hard work, loyalty, and service—many of the same qualities that veterans have developed during their years in the military.

Whether you had experience with electrical systems in the military or are looking for a new path as you transition into civilian life, give Piper Electric a call. We need dependable, adaptable, hardworking technicians to meet the growing demand in the Denver metro area.

This could be a great beginning for you and your family.

Why Become an Electrician?

Even if you have never considered a career as an electrician before, it may be a better a fit than you think. In an increasingly competitive job climate, electricians can earn salaries comparable to—or even above–those that require years of college, and you can learn much of the trade on the job, not in a classroom. Licensed Colorado electricians can earn between $40,000 and $90,000 a year, depending on experience, specializations and other factors. In addition, Piper Electric offers competitive benefits packages, on-the-job training, uniforms, and more.

There are other good reasons to look at a professional career as an electrician. Many veterans already have much of the skillset necessary to excel as an electrician: manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, physical fitness, good balance, an ability to solve problems and think on their feet, and work ethic. Not only that, but many have even had highly specialized jobs in the military that taught them more about electrical systems than they realize. These skills and experiences make veterans at Piper Electric an invaluable part of our family now, and we are excited to hire more.

Why Now?

Recent projections for the next several years indicate that Colorado is going to need over 100,000 additional electricians to keep up with construction demand. As the need for skilled craftsman continues to rise, so does the number of veterans who are looking for work. According to the Department of Labor, the military separates 240,000 – 360,000 service members each year, many of whom live right here in Colorado. Unfortunately, the unemployment rate remains stubbornly high for vets, especially those who enlisted after 9/11 and are actively seeking work.

Piper Electric appreciates the tremendous sacrifice of these service men and women and we want to help you find a new path as you transition out of the military. Not only that, we highly value the skills, experience, and leadership of veterans in Colorado and want to bring more of them into our team. We have many positions open right now—from apprenticeships to master electricians—so give us a call at (303) 422-4219 or email us at HR@piperelectric.com. Let us know you are a veteran seeking employment.
